Our Ministries

God calls us to labor for His glory. Below are some of the ministries that are currently in action.

Ministry Schedule

  • Altar Guild

The Altar Guild is responsible for "setting the table" for our Eucharist and for maintaining and changing the liturgical linens.

  • Lay Readers/Chalice Bearers

Lay readers give clear, articulate voice to God's word and the people's prayers during worship. Chalice bearers help serve communion during our services.

  • Episcopal Church Women

Our Purpose as the Women of the Episcopal Church is to empower each other to live the life for which Christ called us by sharing His love through outreach, fellowship and spiritual growth. The Episcopal Church Women of the Diocese of Texas is the fellowship of ALL women of the Church and is organized to enable the women to serve our Lord through Service, Worship, Education, Evangelism and Pastoral Care. All women in the parishes and missions of the Episcopal Church, Diocese of Texas, are members.

  • Prayer Chain

An intercessory prayer chain, we are people who have been called to the ministry of praying for others on an ongoing basis. We have committed ourselves to pray regularly, confidentially and individually for the people and concerns that are requested of us. Contact Tammy Plumer via email or phone (979)865-5707 for more information.

  • St. Mary's Caring Crew

St. Mary's Caring Crew (SMCC) provides lunch and snacks to Bellville's public servants monthly. St. Mary's furnishes the sandwich trays and paper goods with parishioners providing the side dishes, drinks and snacks. SMCC members also assist in coordination and pick-up/delivery. A sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board monthly for anyone interested in helping. If you would like to participate in this ministry or learn more about SMCC, please contact Brandy Pevehouse via email or phone (512)964-4365.

  • Stewardship

Stewardship maintains the awareness of God’s gifts and of our responsibility
to use them in His service and to His glory. In grateful response to God's abundant generosity, you are invited to pledge your support of St. Mary's Church by completing a Pledge Card and returning it into the church office.
