The Mission
of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church is to

Know Christ’s Love,
Follow His Example,
and Grow in His Grace.

Core Values

Worship - We are a Christian Community embracing the Episcopal tradition as set forth in the Book of Common Prayer.

Christian Service - We serve God and His people through our time, talents, and treasures.

Fellowship - We gather together extending the love of Christ without boundaries.

Education - We offer opportunities for Christian-based knowledge and leadership for all ages.

Our Vision

St. Mary’s, Bellville will continually seek to grow in God’s grace through mid-week worship and spiritual activities for all ages. We will be especially committed to the children in our care. Christian Education will include Sunday school and Bible studies for all ages, professionally-staffed nurseries, opportunities for our youth to develop as disciples of Jesus and become leaders for others.

There will be fellowship opportunities for all members. We will promote fellowship through our newcomers’ ministry, which greets and engages visitors through an active, intentional and sincere new member ministry.

Our Parish ministries such as the Episcopal Church Women, Brotherhood of St. Andrew’s, Daughters of the King, youth programs, grounds care, choirs, worship service and others will be enthusiastically attended. We will follow Christ’s example by reaching out to our Community through active participation in area programs. We will continue to support St. Mary’s Episcopal Day School creating a visible connection between the church and school with ongoing actions to strengthen that bond. The gifts and talents of our members will be fostered for the building of community life.

Our facilities and grounds will be attractive, inviting and well maintained as a sign to the community and ourselves of stewardship and as an offering to the Glory of God. We will have a master plan for developing and funding a columbarium and meditation garden.
